Important Dates

  • Fish & Chip Night
This Friday, 8 July at 6:00pm a Fish & Chip night is being held in the dining room. In the past it has
been possible to order a small green salad to accompany the meal. Due to rising costs and general shortages a small salad has risen in cost from $3 to $6.50, and this is the reason it is not being offered.
  • Resident Committee Meeting
The monthly Residents’ Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 13. If there are any matters that you would like discussed at the meeting, please write it down and place in the Residents’ Committee mail box by Friday July 8 so the matter can be included in the agenda for the meeting.

House Keeping:

  • Just a little follow up concerning salad. If you would like to make yourself one we have beautiful baby Cos lettuce in the vegetable garden. Please help yourself by gently cutting the outer leaves.(Otherwise the lettuces may be floated as a commodity on the Australian Stock Exchange !!!)
  • Key Safes – New Location
The key safes have been moved from their original location so that they are easier for residents to access. If you would like to know the new location of the key safes please speak to Alexia.
  • Later this week you will receive a Resident Rating Survey . Hester Canterbury is joining this month’s ResiRating Survey. Residents of retirement villages right around the country are asked to rate their village to provide an insight on how the village is delivering on your expectations. Every resident in the village is being asked to participate. The objective is to understand your feelings about 5 key aspects of village life and your overall level of satisfaction. The survey is designed to not only help improve retirement villages as a whole, but to also help improve seniors’ accommodation and services nationally. The survey is independent of operators  and 100% confidential (each survey has a unique code that is only linked to Hester Canterbury NOT you). There is no personal identification of you. The survey operators are seeking your open and honest answers. The survey period is from Friday, July 8 through to Wednesday, 20 July. You will receive the survey in your letterbox shortly. There are only 8 questions and should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. You can do it on line or on paper and use the provided postage paid envelope (one per apartment) to return to the survey organizers. Please assist BASScare and the organizers in this project. Thank you…

Week Four of the Winter Menu starts on Monday 11 July..
