Notices:
DINNER IS SERVED, OR IS IT?
For those that like to partake in, or thinking of submitting a Hester Canterbury Meal Order in the future, please be aware that your order must be in by no later than 1pm on a Thursday, however it may be good practice to start placing your order earlier in the week for the following week, so I have all orders by the Thursday deadline. Thank you.
WHERE THERE’S SMOKE
Just to refresh everyone’s minds, please note that the individual smoke detectors in your apartment are not part of the properties Fire Alarm System, therefore if your smoke detector is activated and there is fire, you will need to evacuate immediately and call 000. A smoke detector activated in any common area will automatically become a Fire Brigade call out. In addition, though your smoke detectors in the apartment are hard wired, part of the maintenance schedule is to replace the back up battery that will take place soon and you will be notified of the date in advance.
OUT OF OFFICE
Please be aware that I will not be present at Hester Canterbury on Thursday 1 June all day, so if you require anything on the day, please call Edward. If you are expecting an evening meal, I will organize with the Faversham Kitchen to place your meal in the ground floor fridge. Thank you for your understanding and please let me know if there is anything I can address before next Thursday.
Week Four of the Autumn Menu starts on Monday 29 May.
Please place any orders by 1pm the Thursday before.
Bon Appetit!
ARMCHAIR TRAVEL DELIGHTS
I too have been to many exciting and wonderful destinations around the world. It is difficult to pick out a best experience, but our own Kimberley region is magnificent. The scenery and colours of the rocks are unbelievable and its remoteness very special. I felt like a rock kangaroo as I clambered over and round the rivers and gorges, and was advised to take shoes off and wear cotton socks to get a grip on the very slippery rocks as we went through the water. We had two memorable helicopter rides, one over the Bungle Bungles which are a large number of very big beautiful coloured beehive shaped rocks. This area was only discovered in 1980 (makes you wonder, what else is out there undiscovered?). The helicopters were open on the sides, a little scary.

LOST AND DEFINITELY NOT FOUND
If you can shed any light on two items found recently, it would be very much appreciated. Last week a blue and black jacket was left in the Club Lounge and may be the property of a guest you had visiting. Also, two non Hester Canterbury looking keys were found in the Basement car park. If any of these items are yours, or you know who the owner is, please let me know.
Have a lovely week and take care.
