Notices:

OUR GARDEN’S LOST ITS GREEN THUMB
It’s with much sadness that I inform you that our favourite gnome Martin is departing BASScare at the end of the week. Martin has been instrumental in shaping and maintaining the Hester Canterbury gardens in the past few years and supporting resident initiatives such as the Veggie Garden and the Worm Bins. We extend our gratitude and wish Martin all the best in his future endeavours. While a new Head Gardener is sourced, lets provide all our support and get behind Constanza who will be stepping up to manage BASScares’ gardens.

PICTURE PERFECT PRIZE
For those booked on the day trip to the Archibald Prize next Monday 23 October, please ensure you are in the foyer by 9am for a departure soon after. I have picked up the dutiful task of driving the bus so I will not be present on site for most of the day, however I can be contacted on the mobile if required.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
If you did not experience ‘Son et lumière’ the first time around or would love to sit through it again, Fitzie will be presenting Tranquility France in the Cinema on Friday 20 October at 4pm, with an additional 5 minutes of breath-taking images and hypnotic music on top of the original show. It is guaranteed to be the best 20 plus minutes of your day, followed by Friday Happy Hour in the Dining Room @ 5pm.

Week Two of the Spring Menu starts on Monday 23 October.
Please place orders anytime prior to 3pm the Wednesday before.
Bon Appetit!

CARPET CAPERS
It has been confirmed that the long awaited New Carpet installation for the ground floor communal areas will take place commencing Monday 23 October at 8am.
The contractors have scheduled that they will commence in the Club Lounge on Monday, then move into the Dining Room on Tuesday and all going well will finish off in the Library on Wednesday. For the safety of all residents and the trades people it is vital that everyone stays clear of the work zones while the old carpet is being removed and the new laid, as there is a high risk of injury. I am sure you are all curious for the unveiling of the new carpet, while eager to see the communal areas returned to their former glory, but there’ll be no more spilling the red wine.
Thank you in anticipation for your understanding while this work is being completed.

FUNNY FRIDAY MATINEE
This weeks feel good movie is ‘Miss Congeniality’ starring Sandra Bullock as a dedicated tom-boy FBI Agent who has to go deep undercover and transform herself into a beauty pageant contestant, while spruiking world peace. Please spare 109 minutes out of your day to shout your mind and body a real good giggle.
Hester Class Friday 20 October. Laughs start at 1pm sharp.

A GUIDE TO THE FUTURE
I am sure that you would all be aware by now of the outcome to the BASScare Hester Canterbury Special Meeting last Friday with the resolution being passed. We also provided a draft version of the Hester Canterbury Annual Meeting Guidelines for all residents to look over and provide any feedback on its content. If you have any suggestions or possible amendments, could you please put it in writing and either email it to me or place it in the Managers’ mailbox by Friday 27 October. Thank you.
