Important Dates

Monday, 21 December
Alexia will be taking an annual leave day. Rebecca Barnard (BASScare staff member) will be onsite in a caretaker role. Rebecca is being trained in the role to relieve Alexia for any future leave periods.
Please be understanding that this will be Rebecca’s first day on the job and it will be very much a situation of one learning as they go.

Friday 25, Saturday 26, Sunday 27 and Monday 28 December
The above dates are Christmas Public Holidays. Hester Canterbury will not  be staffed on the above dates. If you have a meal ordered on any of these days, they will be delivered to the Hester Canterbury kitchen fridge and must be collected by you.

Housekeeping Notices

  • Thursday, 17 December
    Please be aware that all the 3 lifts at Hester Canterbury will be undergoing a routine  maintenance check from 9:00am on the above date.
    This will involve the lifts being out of action while servicing is taking place (approximately half an hour per lift).
    During this period alternative access is available through the fire escape.
    This is essential work that must be done and we appreciate your understanding while this work is being actioned.
  • Christmas Raffle
    There was a raffle planned for last Friday until time got away. At reception you will find a raffle book, please write your details (name and apt number) on the left hand side stub and take the right hand side with you for safe keeping.
    We will draw the raffle early next week and the winner will be announced next week in the last newsletter before Christmas.Please see overleaf for more information….

Our thanks to Alan for providing the festive music for our Christmas function it really helped set a pleasurable atmosphere with all the yule time favourites being played.
Every one has commented on the delicious repast the chefs served on Friday night it really was so tasty and 5 star hotel standard.
There is a card in reception, if you would like to write your compliments on it, we will then pass it onto the kitchen for a job  done so well.

More good news…

Hester Canterbury residents are again able to enter Faversham House   to use the hairdressing and beautician services.

The following directives must be adhered to prior to admission.

  • You must sign in (as must all visitors), answer all the questions and have your temperature taken and recorded,
  • In the hair salon you must wear a mask at all times,
  • In the beauty room you may take the mask off to facilitate treatment, however a mask must be worn to and from the beauty room,
  • Please understand that these services are a privilege extended to us and as far as bookings go Faversham ouse residents are the first priority, meaning that sometimes a booking may have to be changed with no notice due to Faversham House resident requirements.

Bridge is back starting from Wednesday 23 at 2:00pm
in the Hester Canterbury dining room. New members
always welcome to join in.

Week Three Spring Menu starts on Monday 21 December.
Please place any orders by lunchtime the Thursday before.
