POWER TO DRIVE
Recently we sourced information and a quote for the installation of two EV Car Charges for the basement car park, an initiative born from the question of what if a resident purchased an electric vehicle? This is an addition to our offerings that Hester Canterbury and BASScare are very much behind, however the responsibility for this initiative to power up now lies with you the residents, as for this to be viable we would need to see the addition of an EV vehicle sitting environmentally proud in a basement car space, or at least be advised that you are awaiting delivery.

THE GOOD JUICE
Just a reminder that our resident green thumb Martin will be conducting a Worm Bin Demonstration for all residents in the correct use and what to place in the bins, so bring your curiosity and food scraps next Wednesday 22 February at 10:30am to the middle (South) refuse room. I would personally like to thank on behalf of our worms all those residents that are using the bins. We should see the benefits of the worms hard work in the coming weeks.

SITUATION AWARENESS SAVES LIVES
It was seriously concerning last Tuesday when we had a Fire Alarm go off throughout the complex, that I only counted seven residents outside the building heading for the Evacuation Points. Though it turned out to be an unexplained false alarm, there was no announcement prior to the alarm activating to indicate that it was a test, therefore ALL residents on-site should have taken it as a genuine alarm and made all effort to evacuate the building. I know the alarm speakers are situated in communal areas outside the apartments only, however even with my questionable hearing, I heard it standing outside the entrance to Faversham House.
Refresher information will be relayed to all residents regarding what to do if you hear the fire alarm and location of Evacuation Points soon. In addition, we will also conduct a Test Fire Drill at a time when the majority of residents are present. If in doubt to whether it is a test or not, play it safe and evacuate.

THERE’S SOMETHING NEW AFOOT
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your patience and consideration during Stage One of the floorboard replacement, that is progressing along famously. The new floorboards are now in place and we are just awaiting the joinery to be installed and for some patch work, which they are saying should be towards the end of next week. I will put my hand up and take responsibility for part of the delay to the schedule as I told the Contractors that they were unable to work on the weekends. As most of you would already be aware, the temporary Residents Lounge is now open for business and fully operational in Apartment G.02 of the West Wing, where you can enjoy Morning Teas, Friday Happy Hour, and just a good old fashion chat and catch up. You can also find the daily newspapers there also. Most items you’ll require are either on the benchtops or in draws, such as cups, knives, cake forks and sundries.

Have a wonderful week and take care.
