  • GRAND RE-OPENING FOR EASTER
It is with much joy that I announce the Grand Re-Opening of the Club Lounge and Dining Rooms as of Thursday evening. There will be a few things that will need attention after Easter, plus the new carpet to be laid in May, otherwise it is business as usual. I wish to thank all the residents for their patience, adaptability and consideration during this time.
  • HESTER CLASS
Love is a piece of cake’, or is it? A simple recipe for love has its complexities as Jessie, owner of a small third generation bakery in Rhode Island, navigates the prospect of losing her beloved business to developers and the man that is there to support her. Screening Tuesday 11 April at 7:30pm in the Hester Class Cinema.

SELF SERVE DURING EASTER
Just a reminder that as I will not be present at Hester Canterbury on Easter Friday or Monday, if you have ordered, or looking to order a Dinner Meal on either of those days, you will need to collect it from the fridge in the ground floor kitchen on those days, after 5pm. Sorry.

A LITTLE SOMETHING TO BRIGHTEN THE DAY
To brighten the mood and send a little Hester Canterbury cheer to Judy, I am going to organize some flowers, and place a ‘Get Well’ card at Reception for everyone to sign. If you would like to contribute something small towards the flowers, please let me know.

GETTING HEATED OVER COOLING OFF
If anyone is interested in having their apartments Daikon heating / airconditioner serviced, our preferred contractor is GMR Mechanical Services who would carry out a test and run of both heating & cooling systems and clean the filters. Please let me know if you would be interested and I can organize a group service for the same day. It would cost roughly $220 (not including parts).

OPEN FOR BUSINESS
For some of you, the Red Brick Café in Mont Albert Road is probably a regular haunt on your daily travels, however we’d like to quash any rumor the business has closed as they are still thriving most days between 7:30am—3pm (closed Monday’s) and until 2pm Saturdays.

Week One of the Autumn Menu starts on Monday 10 April.
Please place any orders by 1pm the Thursday before.
Bon Appetit!

SWIPE CARD vs. FOB
As our supplies have dwindled we find ourselves having to order more Security Access Cards so I need your feedback to see if we stay with the present Security Proximity Card (see image below left) or move to a smaller Security FOB style (see image). They both work in exactly the same way (tap on), it is just the FOB is more convenient as it’s roughly the size of a 50 cent piece and can be placed on your keyring. Please let me know your preference by email, text, note or just face to face. Thank you.

WINTER VEGGIE GARDEN
While you are in the mood for feedback, it is that time of the year to provide your recommendations of what Winter Vegetables you would like to see Martin (gardener) plant in our high yield vegetable garden. This natural source of food is there for all residents to benefit from and requires to have a nice balance of choice to cater for most of your needs.

WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND
I promise this is the last request for feedback, however, we will be presenting you all with a quick Resident Survey soon that should take no more than 10 minutes, but firstly I would like to establish if you prefer to have the survey emailed to you to complete digitally or if you require a hard copy printed version. Please let me know at your first convenience.

Have a fabulous week and take care.
