Did you know…

Burn One’s Bridges
For the most part, this saying and related idioms referred to ancient military strategy and is likely the expression originated from Roman generals.
These military leaders burned their boats and, later their bridges to demonstrate there was no retreat, and the strategy was also used to slow pursuing enemies. For example, during World War 2 the Germans destroyed bridges to stop advancing Allied armies.

Week one of the new Winter Menu starts on Monday 7th October. Please place any orders by Thursday lunchtime. Bon Appetit!
