  • VOICE YOUR VOTE
If you are unable to attend a voting centre on Saturday 14 October for the Referendum, you or someone on your behalf will need to organize a postal vote online at, www.aec.gov.au/referendums/vote/postal-voting.html Don’t delay as time is running out.
  • HESTER CLASS
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would know of the iconic dolls Barbie & Ken. We would never have imagined that they would be gracing the Hester Class big screen in the live action fantasy comedy ‘Barbie’ starring Australia’s own pretty in pink, Margot Robbie. Let your inner child free on Tuesday 10 October at 7:30pm.
  • TO BE OR NOT TO BE
Just letting you know that I have a full day Course on Tuesday 10 October, so will not be on hand in the Office. If you require anything on the day, please either send me a text message or leave a voicemail on my phone, 0439 523 538, and I’ll endeavor to call you back.

SPARE A THOUGHT
All residents have been previously supplied with a spare Apartment Key and Security Swipe Card for the sole purpose of back-up if you lock yourself out of your apartment or wing. It is a requirement that residents ensure that they have their spare key and swipe available in their individual ground floor Key Safe at all times. The use of a nominated resident to access the Master Key Safe on your behalf should be the last line of defense, not the first. If you require any assistance in setting up your Key Safe or have forgotten your unique 4 digit code, please let me know as I am happy to assist. Thank you.

TOILET HUMOUR AT ITS BEST
Some may say that the Funny Friday Matinee this week is a bit on the nose, but prepare for the best Aussie laugh since The Castle when ‘Kenny’ the most lovable toilet plumber hits the Hester Class big screen like the proverbial hitting the fan. Starts 1pm sharp.

WILL THERE BE FOOD ON THE TABLE
Could you please ensure that you have next weeks meal order in by 3pm today, as there will be no reminder. If you require a menu, please let me know. Also, please return any of the new crockery to the ground floor kitchen. Thanks.

Week Four of the Spring Menu starts on Monday 09 October.
Please place orders anytime prior to 3pm the Wednesday before.
Bon Appetit!

CANAPÉS AND COMMUNITY
It’s time for the residents to celebrate a challenging year in style and welcome those that are dearest to you to Hester Canterbury for this months social event, the Canapés and Community Cocktail Night.
We open our doors to all residents, your family members, and / or friends to share an evening of delicious fine nibbles and engaging conversation, showcased with pride to the back drop of your beautiful home.
Set to take place on Friday 27 October between 6pm—8pm in the Club Lounge and Dining Room, this B.Y.O event will be Friday Happy Hour on steroids, a wonderful opportunity to come together socially and mix with a broader community of extended Hester family members.
The canapé menu and Sign-Up form will be available at Reception soon, so dust off your evening wear, reach for your teledex and make the call to family and friends today, to ensure they put the date aside.

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW
On Wednesday 18 October we will welcome a small group of garden enthusiasts from Morgan Glen Iris who are very interested in viewing our garden and vegetable beds. Martin will take them on a tour of our garden before we invite them to join us for morning tea in the Club Lounge. Maybe those residents who recently had their courtyards transformed can fling their gate open for a sneaky look.
If you are interested in showcasing your courtyard or balcony, please let me know.
Have an enjoyable week and take care.
